Wroclaw, Poland Market place
What was once a shopping area for the locals has today thrived into a tourist attraction. This is an indoor market where you can buy fresh food, flowers and loads of treats. Bring Bling To Traveling was there to check it out.

Food Market in Wroclaw

When you enter you feel like you are entering an old train station. That’s not the case, the food market has always been in that building and it has never been a train station. Inside you can taste, smell and just stroll around looking at the polish delights. The prices are fair even if they are more expensive than in the “regular” store. This is a place where tourists flock to taste Wroclaw, however, it’s not a place where you will find souvenir shops. This place reminded me of Aarhus food market. Both places offer coffee shops and places to eat but best of all is that you can buy fresh food to take home here. And don’t be afraid to try some new stuff out. Poland has a lot of great food to offer and they are different from what you might be used to.

What to buy at Hala Targowa

Here is a list of our favorite Polish treats that we recommend you to try:

  • Polish sausage – this is made out of loads of meat and you can eat it however you like. Fresh, boiled or fried. Eat it with bread or potatoes.
  • Krakowska – This is also a sausage but you put it on a sandwich. If you bring this one back home it will stay fresh in your refrigerator for weeks.
  • Delijce – This is Minis absolute favorite. Cookies with chocolate and jelly. They look like somewhat like a UFO and Mini eat them by the sleeve.
  • Ruskie Pierogi – A polish dumpling with cheese and potatoes and onions. Serve it with chopped up bacon = yummy!
  • Makoviec – A pastry that is stuffed with poppy seed. This tastes different but its well worth a try.
  • Coffee the polish way – This means that you have the coffee grounds in the cup while you drink your coffee. No need to worry – the grounds will sink to the bottom and you will get some really great and strong coffee.

So those were some of our favorites but we are sure that you’ll find your own polish delights! Just try them out and the Hala Targowa in Wroclaw is a great place to start!
