Travel Guide to North America

Best time to visit North America

The best time to visit North America depends on which part of the continent and what type of experience you are seeking.

For the United States
big cities such as New York and Los Angeles, spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November) are ideal with milder weather and fewer tourists. Southern cities, such as New Orleans and Miami, can be pleasant in the winter (December to February) when temperatures are milder.

Canada’s nature experiences such as Banff and Jasper National Parks are best in the summer (June to August) when the hiking trails are open and the weather is warm. Winter sports enthusiasts can instead visit ski resorts like Whistler from December to March.

In Mexico and the Caribbean islands, from November to April it is ideal, with drier and cooler climates, avoiding the humid rainy season and hurricanes that occur during summer and early autumn.

In conclusion, spring and autumn are the best periods to avoid extreme weather and crowds.
