Stary Browar or the Old Brewery as it’s called in English is a great place in Poznan. It’s a business, art and shopping center. With 210 shops and restaurants, this is a place that you must visit while in Poznan. The old brewery has won some prices in Poland. It won “Best Shopping Center in the World in the medium-sized commercial buildings category”.

Before this place became the mecca of shopping and art, it was a beer brewery. Lech had their production here. Today they have moved to a new location and the brewery is remade. The buildings industrial past looks amazing with the modern stores and the artwork. There is a great mix of art inside the area and this place is huge! 130 000 m² to be exact.

The art is placed around the area even if it’s more focused at some places. The center opened in 2003 and is a popular meeting place. Here you can browse through both expensive and less expensive stores. Mini and I just strolled around and then I found the most amazing cafe that we just had to try out!

Weranda Lunch & Wine

It feels like you are outside even if you aren’t. Yes, it is quite expensive – by Polish standards. One cup of Americano costs 13:- zloty. In other places, you would get like three cups of coffee for that price. However, the restaurant and cafe are really nice. On each table, there is a huge bouquet of flowers. And they are fresh cut flowers = probably cost quite a lot for the restaurant to keep replacing them.

When we were here they had just put the autumn leafs in the restaurant and it looked incredible. The place was transformed into an enchanted forest and it was awesome. We checked out this place but in the old brewery, there are a lot of options for food and shopping.
