Thoughts from the road – Being parked is not our thing

by Annika & Mini | Mar 14, 2019 | Blog

5 things we definitely didn’t know about the Harra 5 things we definitely didn’t know about the Harrachov glassworks (yes, beer is heavily involved) 👇🇨🇿✨
📸
1: One of the oldest 🌍
It was founded before 1712. That means they’ve kept their furnaces burning through world wars, empires rising and falling, and centuries of history.

2: Powered by a time machine ⚙️
The glass grinding workshop is from 1895. It still works perfectly today, powered entirely by an ancient water turbine and wooden pulleys!

3: Beer with a view 🍻
They have a microbrewery right next to the workshop Pivovar Novosad. You can literally drink a cold lager while staring through a glass wall into the roaring fire.

4: A 150-year-old secret ingredient 💧
The beer they brew isn’t made with normal water. It’s made using pure mountain water from a 150-year-old secret spring on the property.

Slide 5: You can literally bathe in it 🛁
If drinking it isn’t enough, they have an on-site spa where you can book a hot beer bath. Ultimate relaxation, glassworks style.
