Faro has loads and loads of cafés and restaurants so there is no need to be hungry. While visiting Faro, Mini and I found Baixacaffe and thought that it looked fresh and clean. We ended up having our breakfast in Faro here.

Baixacaffe has a great menu
I love when the kitchen is “open” for you to see. That means that they have nothing to hide. Inside Baixacaffe you can see the magic happen behind a glass wall. And I really liked the interior of the place – clean and neat with white details all over.
I ended up choosing a chefs toast with bacon and cheese. And I got a lot for the 3,50 euro that the toast cost. Mini chose the Hawaiian plate. He has a wish that all food should be served with pineapple. And he got potato wedges too. Yes, I ended up eating most of them because I love me some potatoes.
Strong coffee and the price
We ended up spending 11,70 euros (2017) and we were both full when we left the Baixacaffee. And we also had a great cup of coffee here. The Portuguese know how to make some really good and strong coffee. More often then not I have to try to find a Starbucks and order a Venti Americano with a shot of espresso. It is called a “Redeye”. However, in Portugal, they all serve really good and strong coffee everywhere you go! And we love it.
And even though we ordered toasts they didn’t feel “fatty”. It is a trick – to make a toast loaded with cheese and make it taste like it is healthy. And there was a lot of cheese on those toasts = I was happy!
