The Museum Narodowe in Szczecin is located in several different places around the city. In six different locations to be exact. We had to check out this museum and see what it was all about. And for some reason, I got a fetish on penises. Yes, that was my goal for the day – taking pictures of all the penises I could find in the Museum. Isn’t that a normal thing?!

Museum in Szczecin, Poland
The museum has both permanent and temporary exhibits. We entered the one that’s in the middle of the promenade. They had an exhibit with some really old stuff that was taken from churches and old excavation sites. You can really feel the smell of the old churches while walking here. On the downside is that all the information is only available in Polish. However, there is amazing staff that is more than willing to provide you with all the information you need.
We had a great time visiting here, and we got to see a lot of interesting stuff. It’s well worth a visit at this nice museum. But you need a lot of time if you want to see all of the museums. Mini prefer interactive museums and this place was a “just see” place and “no touching”. However, I liked it a lot!
Let’s explore the second floor
Ok, so this place had a lot of statues. Mostly statues of men. Mostly statues of naked men. (Do you know what I’m getting to?) I had so much fun strolling around these statues, of what I assume, are of famous men and inspecting their penises. Mini got embarrassed and asked me not to be so obvious with what I was taking pictures of. The thing that started it all was a statue of a man with big muscles and a super small xxx. But there was more on the second floor than just the penises.
One exhibit that the museum was really proud of, was the Africa – part. They have lot of masks and things that they have gotten from Africa. The masks are both scary and fun at the same time. We have seen a lot of masks from Africa before but it was awesome to see them all collected in one place!
Visiting the Museum Narodowe in Szczecin
If you want to visit one of the museum’s locations, it costs 12:-zloty per person. Or you can pay 20:-zloty and get entry into all of the different museums. However, we heard that it is impossible to visit them all in one day. And another thing is that its free entry on Saturdays. But be aware that there are loads of visitors each Saturday and you might not get to see as much due to the crowds.
Here are the different addresses where you can visit the museum. And each museum has their own exhibits even if they all belong to the same museum:
- ul. Wały Chrobrego 3
- ul. Księcia Mściwoja II 8
- ul. Staromłyńska 1
- ul. Staromłyńska 27
- pl. Solidarności 1
- Gryfice ul. Błonie 2
