The place where you feel like you are taking part in a movie. A “Badehotel” is a place where you can sleep well, eat well and then walk to the beach and have a dip. We got to visit the Strandgaarden Badehotel in Laeso, and it was a great place with incredible food.

Strandgaarden Badehotel
This hotel has seven different type of rooms to choose from. Choose between a romantic view by the beach or a wooden cabin. There are 22 rooms so you are bound to find your favorite. Our room was big and spacious yet cozy and romantic with a small balcony. The bathroom was big and it was really clean. In room coffee is one of my favorites and we got a kettle and coffee so that we could brew a cup whenever we wanted.
This hotel is in a really nice environment. You are right by the beach and you can walk around this beautiful island. But in all honesty, you have everything you need right here so you don’t need to leave the hotel and its surroundings during your stay.
Badehotel means take a dip in the cold water
The Danish so called “badehotel” have one thing in common. You are supposed to walk down to the beach and take a dip. But be warned – this is not a tropical dip. According to me, the water is super cold, all year round but it does get somewhat warmer during the summer. Some of our travel friends decided to take a dip right away. I decided to wait until the next morning and take a dip before breakfast.
It only takes a few minutes to get to the beach but bring your shoes because the walk to the beach is on gravel so going with bare feet is not recommended. But make sure to visit the beach and take a dip in the cold water.
The Restaurant at Strandgaarden Badehotel
In the evening we had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. What a great idea that was (by Visit Denmark) because it was super nice! The restaurant’s ambiance is one of a kind. Different colors on the windows make the room sparkle in different shades. Nice and cozy and totally perfect! And the menu is also worth bragging about. For snacks we got smoked butter, stuffed potato, salmon and a liver mousse. So nice and combined with local champagne and some great wine.
For dinner, we got langoustine, with tomatoes and fennel. Cockerel, broccoli and anise. For desert, we got raspberries with white chocolate. And if that wasn’t enough we also got cheese! I love cheese and this was a great experience because we got to choose 3 different kinds of cheese we would like to try. One word to sum it up… AMAZING!

This trip was a press trip with Visit Denmark. We share our personal experiences of the different places we got to see so this is not a sponsored post!
Det ser ju ut att vara ett väldigt mysigt ställe – men jag hade nog haft lite mer kläder på mig i det kalla vattnet 😛
Vi ses i morgon!! <3
