Neue Rosterei (spelled Rösterei in German) is a great coffee place and lunch place where you can get a really good cup of coffee. These guys are experts – no doubt about that. You can choose between sitting outside in the cozy courtyard or sitting inside. Make sure to check this place out!

Neue Rosterei – Serves the best coffee in Lubeck- Closed
Ok, so we haven’t tried each and every place that serves coffee in Lubeck. But we still feel pretty comfortable saying that this place serves the cities best coffee. We did try out several places during our stay in the German city and even if most places serve nice coffee, this was the best place.
We went there at the end of September so that means that it was a bit too cold for us to sit outside. However, it’s super nice and we are 100 percent that this place is packed during hot days in Lubeck. I loved the combination of tables and chairs and mixed colors. And their sign outside of the coffee place had the best text ever:
Dinosaurs had no coffee and we see how that turned out

A hidden gem in the city
Located inside a courtyard and with a small sign, it’s pretty easy to miss this place. They have a simple menu but by simple, I mean in the best way. Not too many dishes to choose from but still so many that you can find something that you want to eat. Mini chose a Cesar salad sandwich and I took one with roast beef. The sandwiches were both super good and with the perfect mix of salad and all the ingredients.

They only had the menu in German so we weren’t sure what we had ordered. I mean, Cesar salad sandwich?! Turned out that we both made great choices because we liked both of them equally. A small sandwich costs 5,50 € and a large one 8,50 €. Do I have to tell you that we took the big one?!
Buy your coffee and brew it at home

Mini got a regular americano (2,40 €) and I went for a Latte Macchiato (3,80 €). But on their menu, they also had a coffee called Babyccino, now how awesome is that?! I also splurged on a lemon tart and Mini chose apple pie. It was good, even if my lemon tart was a bit “too tarty”. But with the perfect cup of coffee, it was a good mix.

Another great thing about this place is that you can buy beans and coffee here to take with you back home. We didn’t buy any but I think that it would have been a great gift to give to someone. Or why not remember Lubeck by? This place has the coolest interior too. Coffee bags hanging from the ceiling and the most awesome details. We really recommend this place and we are glad that we got to check it out!
