Being a traveller – Every day!

There is something about calling yourself a tourist while travelling. Most people are very keen to inform that they are NOT tourists. When they travel they stay away from the “touristy” stuff and eat with the locals. That is great but I can not wonder to think why the tourist aspect is so offputting.

Sure I can also feel sad for the people that go on all inclusive vacations and stay within the resortarea for the whole duration of their stay. They will let you know that they went to Mexico but in fact they did not see anything more than the resort had to offer. I do not mind the all inclusive as a travelform. What I do prefer is to get outside of the resortarea.

If someone asks me if I am a tourist my answer is “Every day”. I am what you might call an “all-time traveller”. I am even a tourist in my home town and I love it!
Currently I am working on a article for Swedens largest travel magazine “Allt om Resor” and I love it! This gives me a great oopportunity to travel and explore my own hometown. Tomorrow we are going climbing and ziplining and I cant wait. There is so much to do and see as a tourist and you do not have to travel far to explore.
