What do you buy when traveling? We buy spices and we always want to try the local food and products. In Aarhus there are several speciality stores that sell goodies like cheese and bread. The perfect place to eat and to buy treats is Aarhus Central Food Market.

So we have covered the Aarhus Street Food and this might sound like it is another food court. That is true with modification. This also a food court but it is also more than that. You can eat here and they have several places that serves food. The prices are higher because this is a more “high end” place compared to the Street Food. But here you can also buy some great stuff.

Buy cheese and bread and beer and loads of treats. If I could, I would have bought the whole place because there was so much that I wanted to try! They have loads and loads of Mikkeller beer. I am not a beer drinker but the bottles are so cute and fun that I wanted one of each. Being tourists in Aarhus we had no need to buy fish or vegetables here but believe me that it all looked great!

Worlds best Gin and Tonic

Inside there is a bar that prides itself that they have the best Gin and Tonics in the world. And I can not say if that is true or not (I have not yet tried all the Gin and Tonics of the world) but I do know that they all looked amazing. And the coffee then! Great coffeeshop and it felt luxurious all over. If I was living in Aarhus I think that I would do lots of our shopping here. And like I said before, you can eat here to! We were off to a restaurant but otherwise I am sure I would have bought a shrimp sandwich.
