Yes, it has been low with updates for the last two weeks. We were hesitant until the very end but ended up going to Asia for some months. Our motorhome (Nelson), is being fixed so we had no place to live. Asia will be our home for the next couple of months!

Waited until the very end

Some of our friends don’t even know that we have left Sweden. I got a message from a friend, asking if we could meet for a coffee. Sure, if she wants to fly to Thailand! It would be awesome though. We had no idea what was happening with our motorhome and if we would be able to get it fixed fast. In the end, it all turned out well and the home is getting fixed right now. We flew to Phuket, Thailand the same day that we left the car.

Stressful? Sure thing. Another thing is how to know what to pack for a 4-month trip?! We flew with Aeroflot and were allowed to have 20 kilos per bag. That’s a lot for a “regular” trip. But, when you are staying away for so long – 20 kilos is not that much. And especially when we need to bring all the equipment that we need to be able to work.

What’s wrong with our motorhome?

Nelson is going to get the floor redone. That’s a common problem and something that’s made as a guarantee so no costs for us. And then we are also getting the stuff fixed that happened when we were in Gran Canaria last year. So, there was a lot to be done and that’s why we decided to fly off to Asia for a while.

And we are happy that it’s finally going to get done and we can have our motorhome in perfect condition again. We will be back in Sweden at the beginning of April and then we need to have our home back so that we have a place to live!

Thailand for two months

While writing this, we are in Thailand. Phuket, to be more precise and Patong to be exact! We are staying in a cheap but nice place where we have walking distance to both the beach and to the main shopping street. Since we didn’t apply for a visa, we will be leaving after 30 days. That’s how long we are allowed to stay without a visa.

After we have spent about two months in Malaysia, we will be back in Thailand for another month. But then we will be in Bangkok. We have been to Thailand before (I started coming here in the 90s with my parents) and it’s really nice here. We feel like this is the right place for us to be right now!

Malaysia for two months

Malaysia will be a first for both of us. We are staying in Kuala Lumpur for about two months and we are super excited about that. But don’t get us wrong! This is not a four months vacation – this is sitting by the computer, getting s*it done. Oh, we didn’t tell you guys that in the latest issue of “Min Husbil i Sverige”, we had five!!! articles. How awesome is that?!

We are slowly but steadily growing and it’s awesome. At the same time – we need to put a lot of time and effort into our work. This means that we will not be exploring Kuala Lumpur as much as we would have liked. But we will still be out exploring and sharing it with you guys!
